Attendance Configurations - Customer Admin

1. Where can we find the Attendance setup page on the Customer portal?


Ans: The attendance plan can be customized and managed on the Organization page of the customer portal, Attendance plan can be created multiple times and mapped to respective employees on multiple bases of hierarchy, and you can find the total employee counts of users who are going to be executed with this once you apply the filter on the new attendance plan.


Navigation: Customer portal -->Organization --> Attendance --> Attendance plans--> Create a new plan(Top right corner).

2. Where can we configure the Attendance feature for an employee like the Attendance cycle, GPS location, enabling selfie capture option, logged hours, and attendance status?


Ans: The above configuration can be managed in Admin -> Organization -> Attendance -> Attendance Plan -> Edit ->Tracking Policy.


In the tracking policy column above features and setup can be made.

3. Can we penalize attendance for an employee or restrict employees from marking late check-in and early check-out?


Ans: Yes, the above configuration can be managed in Admin -> Organization -> Attendance -> Attendance Plan -> Edit -> Late Attendance

4. Can we track the missing attendance and give the option for employees to regularize if so where can we do that?


Ans:  Yes, The above configuration can be managed in Admin -> Organization -> Attendance -> Attendance Plan -> Edit -> Missing Attendance

5. Why users are not getting the Attendance check-in option in their application but the attendance calendar is visible on the Quick links and profile section?


Ans: In this case, check on the employee DOJ mentioned whether it is on a future date or not, and check on the employee profile page whether the shift and shift roster has been uploaded for an employee or not.

6. Why the employee is not getting the check-out option in the application?


Ans: In this case, for those respective users, the check-out option might have been made nonmandatory so the check-out button won't be visible to them. you can customize this option on the Attendance plan - Tracking policy.

7. Why users are not having shift time reflecting on their attendance marking option?


Ans: If the check-in and check-out button is reflected but timing is not mentioned, then for those role group employees "open shift" flag has been enabled. an open shift is enabled for an employee who has no shift timings and can mark attendance when they prefer to work.

8. While marking attendance employees are getting messages as " you are nearer to the location assigned to you" and the application is not allowing employees to move further.


Ans: In this case, the Geolocation feature might have been enabled for those respective users, where the application won't be

allowing them to mark attendance apart from their assigned outlet location within a certain distance limit.


Admin can disable this option from the Attendance plan page of the Tracking policy.

9. Attendance marked is not reflected on the Attendance calendar page?


Ans: In this scenario, we highly recommend users inform support@worqhub.com with their user credentials to check and resolve immediately.

10. While performing attendance activity getting an error message as "unable to complete your request or Server low error"?


Ans: This prompt might be occurring due to Network glitches or due to cache issue we recommend users close the app and recheck it once again after clearing the cache file stored, even after this if the same notification appears, we recommend users inform about this to their HR team or support@worqhub.com for further assistance.

11. Where can we download the attendance report for bulk dates with all info and status?


Ans: The report can be exported only from the Admin portal and they can download the basic Attendance report from the Attendance report section available on the report section, and for complete Analytics data report, the admin can download it from the Custom report section prefer for report type MTD complete Attendance report or Attendance report with basic info both have some column detail difference alone.

12. Can we create multiple shifts on the worq platform and assign it to the employees?


Ans: Yes, multiple shifts can be created in the worq admin portal, but multiple shifts cannot be assigned for employees on a day.

Navigation for creating shifts in the admin portal: Customer Admin portal -> Organization-> Attendance -> Shifts

13. Attendance check-in option was visible yesterday and not visible for the current day?


Ans: In this scenario, the Shift roster might not be uploaded for future dates. Users should inform their respective managers to get it resolved.


Navigation for uploading shift roster: Admin portal -> Organization -> Attendance -> Shift Roster.

14. Can the admin view the stats of the attendance marked by the employee and another status for the day?


Ans: Yes, Admin can view those details on the Home->Today Status page where counts will update for each stats available live and he gets an option to download the complete attendance report for a day from the stats page by mentioning the specific date.

15. Attendance colour is reflected differently on the calendar page apart from the original status colour is that the issue?


Ans: In this scenario, we highly recommend users highlight this to the HR team and support@worqhub.com with the respective credential details to get it resolved soon.

16. Can the employee mark attendance in the different work locations and will this be stored?


Ans: Yes, in WorQ, we call this feature "Multi Location Attendance" and this can be configured in Organization -> Attendance -> Attendance Plan -> Edit -> Tracking Policy -> Enable Multi-Location Attendance (PFA).



Please find the features list in Multi-Location Attendance and functionality:


1. When employees mark Check-in: If this is enabled, then the employee's lat and long will be captured while check-in and the nearest work location will be auto-selected.

2. When employees mark Check-out: If this is enabled, then the employee's lat and long will be captured while check-out and the nearest work location will be auto-selected.

3. When employees raise regularisation requests: If this is enabled, then the employee's default work location will be auto-selected while regularization and the employee can change it if required.

4. When employees mark on-behalf attendance: If this is enabled, then the employee's default work location will be auto-selected while on-behalf attendance and the manager can change it if required. 

5. Allow Attendance requests from:

  • Parent & Associated Outlets: If this was selected, then the employee/ manager can only choose one among the parent or associated outlets.
  • All Outlets: If this was selected, then the employee/ manager can only choose one among all the outlets created in the respective customer admin.

6. Do you want the employee to view and select the check-in/out work location?: The selection of work location by the manager/ employee during check-in and check-out is based on this flag.
